Rev Nick Bradshaw<\/strong>

Nick is married to Jackie and they have two adult children and one grandchild. Nick became the minister on 1st March 2019. He had been serving the local Association as Regional Minister full time for 16 years. He has previously served BMS World Mission and Pastored two churches. He loves the outdoors, particularly cycling and paddle sports and is Chaplain at Rock UK\u2019s Summit Centre and Cardiff International White Water. Jackie works in the NHS Brain Injury Team.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Rosemary Dix serves as Deacon, as Church Secretary and as Safeguarding Designated Person<\/strong>

Rosemary has been a member since 1967 and has enjoyed the teaching, fellowship, challenges and support of Stanwell Road throughout those years. Having brought up a family of four children, she has always enjoyed working with young people and, for many years, used to teach in Junior church. The contact she now has is with the next generation, the young Mums who come to Nippers and Natters with their little ones. She also enjoys co-leading a weekly Home Group where several women meet to study the Bible and share fellowship. Hospitality has always been an important aspect of her Christian walk and she is rarely happier than when she can entertain guests.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Pam Curtis serves as Deacon and is responsible for the Coffee Shop & Catering<\/strong>

Pam has been a member of SRBC for over 40 years during which time she has served twice on the diaconate. She has worked in the NHS, run her own business and finally worked supporting dementia sufferers and their families. Within the church she has organised women\u2019s fellowships, served on the social committee and with the help of others Pam set up and runs the very successful coffee shop.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jeremy Dix serves as a Deacon<\/strong>

Jeremy has been a member of Stanwell Road Baptist Church since 1967 and for much of that time has been a Deacon and for seven years acted as Secretary. He has taught in the Sunday School and actively helps to maintain the church fabric and grounds. Jeremy has been a member of Penarth Cytun for many years and has previously served as Chairman. His deepest wish is that we see our church reaching out to the Community and expressing Christ\u2019s love. With his wife Rosemary they have four children and twelve grandchildren of whom they are very proud.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Bryan Emary serves as a Deacon, runs the audio-visual equipment & updates the Website<\/strong>

Bryan is a retired Electronics Engineer and therefore helps with all technical issues! He is married and has three children and eight grandchildren. Bryan has attended Stanwell Road for the last 35 years and was also a member of the Sunday school when he was a boy. He has been a Scout and Leader with 94th Penarth Scouts and is currently the Treasurer of 94th Scout and Guide group and Penarth District Guides. His interests include walking, computers, and caravaning.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Keith Howells serves as Deacon, Safeguarding Trustee, Pulpit Secretary and as Church Publicity Officer<\/strong>

Keith is an Ecumenical Christian who began life in a Welsh language Presbyterian Church in Llanelli. He has served for many years as the Church Representative for Penarth Cytun including periods as Chairman. As a Teacher of the Deaf he taught in the Midlands and in Penarth ending his career as Advisory Teacher in St Cyres Comprehensive School. His main interests are sport, being a Patron of the Scarlets, and music having played in orchestras and sung in many choirs including the St David’s Praise and the National Eisteddfod Choirs.<\/p>\n<\/div>

John Rees serves as Deacon, and as Church Health & Safety Officer<\/strong>

Upon leaving school John studied Structural Engineering and Construction, a discipline in which he worked for twenty years. He ended his working career heading a department of Local Government awarding building contracts to construction organisations. John has been associated with Stanwell Road Baptist Church since childhood. He served as Treasurer for twenty years and is currently responsible for overseeing Health and Safety and Insurance for the church.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Eira Reynolds serves as a Deacon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eira was baptised in the river Cleddau on becoming a member in Rhydwilym Baptist Church in Pembrokeshire. She studied Maths and Physics in Cardiff University and on graduating entered the teaching profession. On marrying, Eira moved to Newport in 1970 and became an active member in St. Julian’s Methodist Church spending the last eight years as their treasurer.  She also became very involved in the Guiding movement as well as outdoor pursuit. In 2021 she made the decision to move to Penarth to be nearer to family. After attending SRBC in the November and being shown such warmth and friendship decided to become a member and later took on the role of a deacon.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Tony Warrilow serves as Church Treasurer<\/strong>

Tony has previously served as a Deacon and has been active in many aspects of church life. He is married to Marilyn and they have three adult daughters and three grandchildren. Tony retired from banking in 2001. Current interests include travel, photography and golf.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Wendy Williams serves as Deacon, is the Website Administrator and Bookings Secretary <\/strong>

Wendy has worshiped in SRBC for over 30 years and has been a member of the Diaconate for a few years. Born in Pembrokeshire, she came to Cardiff to study Radiography. On qualifying she started work in the local District General Hospital and remained there for 40 years. Specialising in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound, she served on a number of UK committees overseeing the professional standards and education of sonographers. She loves music, singing, theatre, keeping fit, wildlife, photography and worldwide travel.<\/p>\n<\/div>
